NEW MT-09 LAUNCHED BY HONG LEONG YAMAHA MOTOR

Petaling Jaya, 12th January 2018 – Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn. Bhd (HLYM) today launched its latest Big Bike in the form of the New MT-09, equipped with various new features and aggressive looks.

The New MT-09 was launched in Europe last year, and is finally making its presence felt on Malaysian shores.

In his speech, Dato’ Jim Khor, Managing Director of HLYM described the new model as “The Ultimate Street Fighter” which is inspired by the flagship MT-10 Hyper Naked model.

“Arrival of the New MT-09 marks another significant milestone for Yamaha towards its aspiration of becoming the desired Lifestyle and Recreation motor vehicle brand’, he added.

The New MT-09 comes with a proven and responsive 847cc engine, which includes the following features:

1) Quick Shift System

2) Assist & Slipper Clutch System

3) Traction Control System (new to the Malaysian market)

4) Anti-lock Front and Rear Braking System (ABS)

5) Fully Adjustable Suspension System (which includes compression damping adjustment)

The new model also boasts aggressive sporty features including a set of menacing-looking LED headlights and taillights, leaner overall styling and sharper-looking components. MT-09 comes in two colours – Night Fluo (Grey) and Tech Black and it will be available at all Yamaha Big Bike authorised dealers by February 2018. Selling price is set at an affordable RM47,388 (which includes 6% GST).
